Jody Hall, VP of Sourcing for H-E-B

Jody is the Vice President of Sourcing for H-E-B in San Antonio, Texas. In this capacity, Jody is responsible for leading a dynamic team of sourcing managers in the identification, development and sourcing local, private label and/or internationals brands for H-E-B stores in both Texas and Mexico. This includes setting the strategic vision for the local sourcing (H-E-B Primo Picks Quest for TEXAS Best) along with direct imports of products internationally for the Grocery, Produce, Bakery, Deli, Drug, Beauty and General Merchandise Departments as H-E-B. Jody has worked for H-E-B for past 30 years. His career has spanned store operations along the US/Mexico border, regional grocery director, advertising manager, Business Development Manager and 18 years in sourcing. A sixth generation Texan, Jody met his wife Marion (originally a native of Madras, India but having grown up in England) while both were living and working in the South American country of Paraguay in the late 1980’s.

James Slavet, Head of Product,

James has been the leader of the Product team for two years. In that capacity he oversees the client reporting and experience as well as new technologies. has been a leader in using data & technology to empower manufactures with prescriptive sales in-store execution. recently merged with Trax USA a leading provider of Machine Vision to both Retail and Manufactures to provided best-in-class data, reporting & execution. Currently is leveraging their tech and workforce to work with retailers to keep products on the shelves given the current emergency. Previously, he was the Senior Product Manager for Fleetmatics, a SaaS logistics product for companies with remote workforces.
