Meet Felipe Vega, Naturally Austin’s new Board President
We are so excited to introduce Naturally Austin’s new Board President, Felipe Vega. He previously dedicated time to Naturally Austin as a board member and Treasurer and we are excited for his continued leadership as Naturally Austin Board President.
Felipe is the Founder of IronClad Consulting and has spent the last 20 years helping early-stage and startup companies navigate the financial and operational stages of funding and growth. He is passionate about working with founders, management teams and the investor community to help build scalable businesses. Felipe has helped pave the way for hundreds of companies by providing leadership and insights to establish strong financial and operational practices while amassing vast expertise and specialization in consumer-packaged goods. We have had the pleasure of working with him for some time, but to help our members get to know him better, we asked him a few questions:
Why was it important for you to get involved in Naturally Austin?
I got involved and supported the launch of Naturally Austin because I felt we needed a place where we could support consumer good companies throughout their life cycles. There was something missing and I’m grateful that we are not only building a Central Texas community but also an entire national Naturally community.
What have the last 18 months of COVID shown you about Austin’s CPG community?
Witnessing this community’s incredible ingenuity to adapt meeting structures, communication strategies and continue to be supportive of each other in a totally new way, from finding a co-packer, new talent, pivoting sales/marketing strategies and fundraising has been inspiring. We have an exceptional community that found ways to continue to grow.
What support do you think the ecosystem needs to continue this explosive growth?
An ecosystem requires complementary and synergetic relationships to deliver value. We need to continue to support each other, grow and build a community that others want to be involved in.
What are you looking forward to in 2022?
2021 was quite a roller coaster of a year, I look forward to facing whatever the universe brings to us, head-to-head, and continue to do what we do best, support our community. Onward and Upward!
